Bobby Flay’s Shark Is Here

So it’s not exactly Miranda Priestly’s theory of trickle-down cerulean, but I have to note it is funny to see the au courant blue banquette that was everywhere at the dawn of 2018 has made its way to Bobby Flay’s Vegas behemoth. Someone tell David Rockwell the new hot color is green.

Flay’s restaurant is called Shark and it opens on April Fools’ Day.

Wonderfully-named Eater Young Gun Maya Lovelace (‘16) finally opens her long-anticipated counter-service Southern restaurant Yonder today. She put herself on the map with a pop-up restaurant called Mae a few years ago and announced this more permanent follow-up back in 2017. She serves catfish, baked pimento macaroni and cheese, vegetable plates, and three styles of fried chicken. Also to-go buckets. Also, so cute.
